Our scores secretary adds:

Welcome back everyone !

It’s been a long time since I sent one of these out and like everything else, much has changed in the Quiz League. Sadly five teams – the King’s Head, the Miner’s Standard and the Royal Oak in the North, and the Bowling Green and Bradley House in the South, will not be taking part this season, although we hope to welcome at least some of these back again in the future.

In addition, a number of teams have changed venues: in the North, the Square and Compass have moved to the Three Stags’ Heads, and the Cliff Inn now play at the Black Swan. In the South both Duke Of Clarence teams have moved across Derby to the Peacock Inn, the Dew Drop have vacated to the Spanish Bar, and the White Hart now play as Talbot 3D.

So with that, here are the results from last night’s opening round of fixtures. An early reminder that in addition to reporting in scores to me nice and early, also please declare if you played as – or against – a team of three.

We Rise Again On Wednesday!

*

On Wednesday 20th the 2021-2022 season of the Derbyshire Pub Quiz League will begin.

Fixtures can be found on our fixtures page.

Please note that individual pubs may have varied their start time from the normal 8:30, sometimes to 8:00.

If some pub names seem new you will more often than not find familiar faces who have moved home.

*

Good luck everyone. Your patience will be rewarded.

Thanks, too, to the DPQL Committee whose work has ensured that the League has survived to quiz again.
