Dave Rainford, who found fame as an Egghead quiz master, has died aged 51. The professional quizzer landed a spot on the show after he won £250,000 on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in 2005. (Daily Mail)

Dave was one of the friendliest and most generous people in quizzing; it was always a pleasure to meet him, as he greeted everyone as a long-lost friend. It’s a terrible tragedy that he has died so young. My commiserations to his family and friends.
